hi everyone,
i have a doubt...i am trying julius for voice recognition. i got the voxforge dict and related hmmdefs. but the problem is, the dict dont have some words which i want to use.
is there anyway to update the dict with new words by adding to it and creating hmmdefs for this new dict ?
it will be very helpful if there is any way to do this.

Have you read and tried out the "adapt the voxforge model to your voice" section of the tutorial in the Develop section? The default process assumes that you have created a model using the standard tutorial ("CALL STEVE" etc) but you don't have to do that. You could create your own grammar/voca, update the lexicon as required, record your audio and so on and treat that as your data to adapt the Voxforge standard model.
Likely you will run into problems with ngrams in your new words that are unfamiliar to the basic model. You may have to make some adjustments to the phoneme representations or provide enough training.
