Hello,

I need to convert these sphinx acoustic model spanish files to Julius HTK:

 http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/sphinx/models/hub4spanish_itesm/

I am a newbie on this, could you please help me?

I am trying to use the  Speech Recognition Model Converter tool...but without luck.

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Pedro

We can help you but only if you will describe your problems precisely. 'it doesn't work' is not a good description. Also model conversion is rather complicated thing. It's easier just to use sphinx. Otherwise you have to change feature extraction as well like frequency limit and number of bands.

Ok, I will try to explain the problem with more details.

I have generate these two files using the Sphinx2HTK converter tool:

spanish.htk.mmf

spanish.htk.macros

The converter command line used is:

s3mod2htk -moddeffn h4.2500.mdef -meanfn means -varfn variances -tmatfn transition_matrices -mixwfn mixture_weights -binary no -mach_endian little -htkmmffn spanish.htk.mmf -htk
macrofn spanish.htk.macros

I have modified the  julian.jcong file to load the new spanish MMF file.

When I run Julius engine I get this error message:

include config: julian.jconf
###### check configurations
###### build up system
Reading in HMM definition...
Error at line 8: no density data
Terminated

Any idea?

Thanks a lot for  your help.

 Pedro
