Hi Robin,

I'm busy with investigating the Dutch speech recognition library on VoxForge. I downloaded the wav's and retrained the model, I also generated a language model. Furthermore I got this https://mattze96.safe-ws.de/blog/?p=640 working for German, dutch and English. I,m now trying to improve the Dutch language model. Did you get any further ?

Regards,
Harm

Hi Harm,

Great that you are interested in this. I haven't been active on VoxForge lately and I didn't follow op on this particular issue, so unfortunately no developments other than those already documented on this forum.

Regards,

Robin

Hello Harm,

I see that you have generated a language model for Dutch. I am trying to use pocketsphinx for Dutch for my bachelor thesis and I am currently stuck as the Dutch VoxForge library does not contain a language model.

How did you built it? Is it easy to build one myself? I am a total noob when it comes to speech recognition and building acoustic and language models, so I was hoping to just find one somewhere on the internet, but that has proven me more difficult than thought. I can understand that you have put a lot of time and effort into your language model, but is there any chance that I could use your language model?

But to be honest any help on this would be useful and much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Romy

You can check

http://trulymadlywordly.blogspot.com/2011/03/creating-text-corpus-from-wikipedia.html

It describes how to create language model from wikipedia dump, you can do it in a day.

Another good source for language models is movie subtitles.

Ah, thank you! I will look into that.

I'm still up for an already made language model though ;-)

So, if anyone has one for Dutch, I would be delighted
