VoxForge
Wave files are natively on store bought cds but they can be pricey.
So I went to a thrift store ang bought cheap audio books that are also high quality recordings.
Now I am currently ripping the wav files of the cds from the thrift store.
I will upload them ftp. Just making a the point that a cheap source of WAV files can be a local thrift store. Like goodwill for example.
Hope this helps get more uncompressed wave files.

Thanks of thinking of VoxForge, but...
I am assuming that audio books are Copyright protected - if so, then we cannot use them.
