Ken: cool, I didn't knew you were working on that. Will it also enable flagging/rating the speech audio currently in the repository?

Hi dano,

That is the plan... i.e. to allow users the ability to flag/rate speech that has already been submitted.

Hello Ken!

"allow users to validate the submission on-line" - that would be great. Could you please tell us how you plan to solve this issue? Which CMS are you planning to use? Or do you want to create your own application?

Greetings, Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I plan to create an app using the WebGUI CMS currently used by the Voxforge site.

WebGUI is in Perl, and can generate most of the required HTML/CSS/Javascript for the front-end and links to the MySQL database backend.  I will also have to create a small Java applet player to display the waveform and playback the audio for validation (using code from the speech submission applet...).

Hi Ubanov,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on some of our posts, I've been away have been trying to get at them since I have been back...

I forgot to mention that you can do this in Simon... I mean that the Simon application will prompt you to record some sentences and will create an HTK acoustic model that you can use with the Julius speech recognition engine using the Simon desktop dialog manager.
