From research.eeye.com:

Multiple Vulnerabilities in .FLAC File Format and Various Media Applications

Overview:
eEye Digital Security has discovered 14 vulnerabilities in the processing of FLAC (Free-Lossless Audio Codec) files affecting various applications. Processing a malicious FLAC file within a vulnerable application could result in the execution of arbitrary code at the privileges of the application or the current user (depending on OS). [...] The vulnerabilities in the .FLAC format are due to improperly handling metadata values from malformed files.

[...]

Vendor Status:
libFLAC version 1.2.1 was released in September, 2007, fixing these vulnerabilities for most vulnerable applications. [...]

Hello,

I just downloaded and installed FLAC front-end (flac-1.2.1b.exe) for Windows XP.  You can find a link for the download here:

http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html

I am sure that it will work fine.  A previous version worked very fine for me.

Ken, why isn't it possible to use HTML when I post a comment?

Greetings, Ralf

Hi Ralf,

thanks for the link!

No real reason, I think I just selected the Default Forum Form when I first created this set of forums.  The Speech Submission forum uses a customized form.

I am assuming you are looking for something like the "Content Type" selector that is in the Speech Submission forum?

Hello Ken,

I think I have found the solution to my problem.  There is a button to insert a hyperlink. Normally, I insert hyperlinks using a speech command (DNS 9.5 Preferred).  But you offer a solution, so everything is fine. I know now how to set a text link to example.com.

Greetings, Ralf
