Hi everyone i am new to htk and the unix enviroment. in step 5 for hcopy i am required to create a config file. How do i create this file . Thanks :)

 ERROR [+5050]  ReadConfigFile: = expected line 1/col 5/char 4 in /Users/gilbert__koh/Desktop/Speech training /HTKTools/config.docx

Abort trap

 I tried to create the config file. but i encounter this error

SAVEWITHCRC = T
WINDOWSIZE = 250000.0

ENORMALISE = F

i type this in a txt file

Are you using gedit or kedit (and not OpenOffice)?  Which HTK command are you running?

hi i am using Hcopy . i am not sure abt the geedit or openoffice. i am typing the command in the terminal on my mac.

I mean what did you use to create your config file? 

It is best to use a text editor, since word processors can sometimes invisible formatting text that can cause problems. 

You might need to convert your config text file to your OS format (see this link for an explanation of the format differences and click here to obtain the flip utility for MAC or Windows/MS-DOS environments).
