you can specify these parameters on the julius command line and override what is in the julius configuration file

Thanks. I got this solved. Now i have a different problem. I’m trying to make the “julius-3.5.2-quickstart-linux” package work on an ARM embedded device but I get this next error: “can’t not execute julian binary file”. It seems everything related with permissions are fine. I have the next question: can I make this binary file run on an ARM architecture? It seems working fine in my UBUNTU ARM over a virtual machine (VMware player).
I appreciate your help.

Googling 'Julius arm' and the first response on the list refers to a thread on the Julius forum where one poster says:
I compiled in a ARM Linux and I have no faced any problem at all. I could done very successfully.
I had faced some problem but after read this forum. I got the perfect solution for it.
There is no problem and it works very well.

Noob, trying!
I seem to be having the same problem you solved with the export ALSADEV=pulse
I do not see that the command "export" is part of the Julius vernacular. Where do I put this and are there more arguments I need to add?
