I second the idea to save user/gender/age/dialect/mic settings for multiple recording sessions, via a cookie or otherwise.  I am even logged in to my account, perhaps the information could be associated with my account and then passed into the applet.

Also FYI anyone, in 64-bit archlinux I had to switch from the sun "jre" package to "openjdk6" in order to get recording to work (from either laptop mic or external usb mic; under both chrome and firefox; and I observed the same issue and fix on other sound recording java applets).

Also, I'm not sure, but maybe more of this site should be in wiki form.  Thanks everyone for this project.

I agree. Having to re-enter my information after every session is a real annoyance. I would definitely submit far more if I didn't have to put in my information after every couple of sentences. While I will still come and submit every couple of days when I remember, this is discouraging me from submitting more than once or twice at a time even if I would have time for 10+.
